Artist Bio
Sara Ruhnow (she/her) is a Minnesota-based mosaic artist with a deep passion for the arts and nature, rooted in her childhood in the Black Hills of South Dakota. For over a decade, she has created mosaics using recycled/found objects, inspired by the beauty of tiny pieces coming together.

Her work has evolved alongside her journey as a foster and adoptive mother of four, shaping her perspective on family and the effects of neglect and abuse.

Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and the Creative Arts from Metropolitan State University, where she studied music, creative writing, gallery work, and visual arts. Sara's mosaics have been featured in juried shows, galleries, and private collections, showcasing her unique artistry and craftsmanship. Her work has earned recognition and awards, reflecting her dedication to the medium and her creative vision.
